“Locket” by Moss Icon
Listen to Moss Icon if you never have. One of the best punk bands of the late-80s/early 90s. Relatively abstract, very intense and dynamic. Wonderful lyrics. Not quite a part of the D.C. emocore revolution, but also not exactly peers with Indian Summer or Heroin or any of those 90’s artsy hardcore bands that were inspired by Rites of Spring. They were a sort of weird evolutionary stepping stone. Never heard a band that sounds quite like them.
Locket may be my favorite song of theirs, but the whole Lyburnum LP is STRONGLY recommended.
