This movie always
I have always liked these clues because they kind of validate the interpretation of the movie I had on my first viewing and make me feel smart.
Also, I really love the sentences “Who gives a key, and why?” and “Note the occurrences surrounding the man behind Winkies.”
If an actor has been in a David Lynch film, chances are good it is my favorite performance by that actor. This is the case with Justin Theroux in Mulholland Dr.
The Cowboy scene is one of my favorite scenes in one of my favorite movies.

One of the more inspired moments of David Lynch’s career: casting Billy Ray Cyrus as the surprisingly gentle and reasonable pool cleaner who Justin Theroux’s wife is fucking.
“That ain’t no way to treat your wife, buddy. I don’t care what she’s done.”
I still suspect that this is the best thing I’ve ever seen.
