I’ve been replaying Resident Evil 4 for the first time in a while, and the character I’m finding myself most intrigued by is the weapons merchant. He appears to be infected with the same parasite as the bad guys, but he helps you instead of trying to kill you. And he’s clearly British and not Spanish like everyone else in the game. And where did he get that arsenal? Did he steal a black market shipment from Saddler? That would explain why the Ganados don’t have weapons more sophisticated than chainsaws and cattle prods. Is he just helping you for profit or does he have moral issues with what the rest of the Ganados are doing? I wish he could have at least been mentioned in passing in one of the documents you find. Like “One of our Ganados appears to be supplying the American. We are still investigating how this is possible.”
